We will look into the ugly power of jealousy as we move into Numbers chapter 12. We will learn that our jealousies sometimes focus us on things that don't matter, and we will see that God has no room for us to be jealous of those who have authority over us.

We jump to chapter 11 of Numbers to hear the people complain “in the desert”. We are going to learn some good things about complaint — why we often complain, and how we can identify and stop it.

We conclude our study of GOD’S INSTAGRAM by finishing the Book of Jude. This is a wonderful, little letter that I’ve not preached before, but I’m loving it! This week we see a clever description of false teachers and then learn how we should respond to them.

We move to the last of the “postcards” of the New Testament— Jude. We will study this book for two weekends because it is a bit longer and a bit more in-depth. It won’t take you long to see that Jude is “beside himself” over the false teachers and apostates within the church. I like the passion and the righteous anger in this little letter, and it reminds me that we are often too soft on false teaching!

We study 3 John and see three men who help us understand the various kinds of people who might be attending our church (any church). It reminds us to look for good role models, but also to BE good role models for newer believers.

We begin a four-part series on God’s Instagram — in other words, short communications from the Lord through John and Jude. This weekend we study the Book of 2John which is only 13 verses long but has a powerful message for the new year.

We begin our Christmas series as we look at THE ANGELS OF CHRISTMAS. Each weekend we will look at the words of an angel and learn something great about God’s nature. This week, we look at the story of Zechariah and the angel Gabriel.
